The name is Maxwell Ansong but with my career choice however, Mobeatz is a more appealing name. I was born on 11/01/88 and grew up in Ghana, West Africa. During my childhood, I grew up listening to all genres of music be it Pop, Rap, Hip-Hop, Hiplife and Hi Life (Ghanaian music). Growing up, I met and listened to artists from all over the world but what inspired me most to do what I do now was the Ghanaian sound engineers like Jay Q., Hammer and Appiatus.
My high school years were spent at Accra Academy where I majored in Graphic Design. One aspiration I always had was to be a producer since I had a passion for music. It was the laughter I received from my friends plus the jokes and criticism that encouraged me to go for it. I wanted to prove to them that I could do anything I set my mind to. That notwithstanding, I held onto my dream, started making beats and recording back at home. I later moved to the United States where I continued my passion with a friend I consider to be a brother, Clement Koi- Amoah (aka Young vim) , doing mixtapes and shows for Street Buzz.
I was able to relate to great producers out here such as Timberland, Dr. Dre, Cool and Dre, the Runners and Bangladesh thus broadening my beat making talent. These were the individuals I got not only part of my inspiration from but ideas as well. I then started making diverse beats such as hi-life beats, hiplife, hiphop, reggae, techno, coupé-décalé, etc.
Multitasking as a beat-maker and a college student majoring in computer engineering and music engineering, my dream in future is to be among the best producers in the world. I have seen too many people let their life pass them by just because they did not tap into their full potential or make use of their talent and I refuse to be one of them. On a brighter note outside my “office”, I am a cool laid back person who loves to network, hang out, make music, act goofy, and knows how to get serious when the need approaches. Any interested record labels or any upcoming artiste should feel free to get at me.
